Sinha at the New York Presbyterian Hospital/ Weill Medical College of Cornell University is undertaking several non-profit research projects involving the genetics of skin diseases including alopecia areata, androgenetic alopecia (male pattern baldness), atopic dermatitis (eczema), basal cell carcinoma, lupus, psoriasis, and squamous cell carcinoma.
